theshaw66
have you ever tried one of those deep fried bugs they be eating?
Julian2
Considerable amounts of alcohol go well with this Thai dish, in fact it's best taken before trying it. Grasshoppers are OK, the legs are a bit like potato crisps but the squidgy centre takes some getting used to. There's a grub they eat up here which isn't too bad fried and I ate a cockroach....no, no, I mean water bug in Pattaya once to impress a bar girl who wanted to see me turn pale at the thought. Make sure you pull the wings off first.

mediumjh
I tried them once after a lot of alcohol and turned a little green. I'll stick with the dancing shrimp myself. Does anyone know where they pick these bugs up for sale? I heard rumor once that some pretty hefty chemicals were used to kill the bugs before consumption. Could be bs however. cavanami
Ate scorpions in China, no big deal. They fry them, very crispy and a little like soy sauce taste.
butterfly
The bugs are OK after a few beers. The chicken feet are different...when I try and take a bite these things look just like my hands, and I have been in Thailand very long time.
