Kite_Flyer
I'm having problems trying to transfer funds from an Australian Bank account to an account with Bangkok Bank. The details I have for the recipient's account are a SWIFT code, account number and name. The account number is of the form 111-2-333333-4. Can anyone tell me if this includes a branch identifier or is just the account number? My bank in Australia is asking for a SWIFT code, branch identifier and account number. Unfortunately I'm not having much luck explaining the concept of a branch identifer (a BSB in Australia) over here. Any help would be much appreciated. Mekong
As ND says, No Branch Numbers, Sort Code as they call them in UK, just the SWIFT number for each Bank that covers every branch. For Bangkok Bank it is BKKBTHBK I was a bit wary when I first used this since if you look up the SWIFT Code it refers to Head Office in Silom and not my branch office, but everything works smooth More Info
