Guest
Only drink bottled water, not the local stuff, imported is best...be careful from where you buy your food...eat lots of fibre.... There are lots of interesting bacteria/parasites here, including quite a few not found in the west...and hygiene isn't a top priority for most food sellers...i regularly get the shits, have had salmonella poisoning and a parasitic infection in the last year, didn't make me thin tho'... Julian2
I always carry lomotil when travelling, works like a treat too but doesn't get rid of the cause though. Have a talk to your quack before you leave.
shygye
The thing with Imodium is you should use it after your system has "flushed".
Jasmine Jazz
eat oreo cookies. I am not joking. the black part of the cookie does something to kill bacteria. lots of thai people use that as a cheap way to fix it. Also if you can handle spicy, have some realy spicy vegetable tom yum
JannikOJ
Happens to me very time too. I get something called "NovoBactin" or something like that from the local thai chemist. Works very well for me. I will try the Oreo/tum yum cure next time though!
Julian2
That's right, there's no good blocking yourself up if the bugs are still working inside. I only use that stuff if I have to travel or go out some where otherwise I stay home and let it run it's course. If it persists you probably need antibiotics.
