Pecker tracks on the pillow case has always been a turn-off for me.

Actually, construction outside my window (rather common) and rude personnel at the front desk, and 20 years of built-up cigarette smoke in the air conditioner and carpet are real turn-offs.

I will overlook many problems with the room if the people at the front desk are nice.

An arrow on the ceiling in the corner of the room...

:dunno:

It's the arrow pointing to mecca' date=' you'll find it in islamic countries and hotels -- kind of like the Gideons' Bible. I prefer my hotel rooms clean, pest-free, and godless!

Before you leave you can always stand on a stool or a chair and turn it around so its facing the other way... :stirthepo

What turns me off in hotel rooms?

When she says "I go home now" one hour after agreeing to a long time. :(

Also... not that I'm a huge greenie or anything, but have you guys thought of the environmental impact of leaving the aircon on while you go out? When you rack up the numbers of a/c's left on while people are out the numbers are huge.

It only takes about 5 minutes for the room to cool down once you turn it on when you get back.

Just a thought.
