Tycona
FIXED NETWORK I suspect there are peak and off-peak tariffs. How much are they? Just to know if the hotels are trying to rip me off I want to dial up to the internet.
khunsanuk
Hi, 3 Baht flat rate. This is per call, regardless of the duration. Sanuk!
gummigut
5 baht for me per local call to another landline. 2-hour cutoff but I haven't been cutoff. I think it's 5 baht / minute to a cell phone or some such. I live in a serviced apartment with no direct line. <<burp>>
Tycona
Thanks guys. Wow 3B (and 5B) per call is very cheap!! Wonder how much the hotels will charge me (the leeches ).
Guest
While staying in Bangkok at various Hotels I usually paid a rate around 5 - 6 BT (plus Tax) per local call, no matter how long. As I usually travel with my laptop and use the Internet a lot, I thought that was a bargain. But in Pattaya at two differnet Hotels they charged me 3 BT per minute, although the nzumber I dialled (according to the sheet I hab with my Loxinfo ISP prepaid card) was local Pattaya. Does somebody have further info on the cost of local calls outside Bangkok? Did the Hotels in Pattaya just cheat me? As I am planning to stay upcountry for a longer period next Winter this is an important topic for me.
Tycona
I am in the Majestic right now and asked how much they charge for local calls: 7 B per call. I got some package called X-Trend from Ji-Net. 18+5 hours = 190B Sunny, I suggest you check with the hotel first to prevent such unpleasant surprises.
