scott808
Newbie questions: How far is Sukhumvit Rd. from Soi 1 to Soi 23 anyway? Can you walk or is it to far?
Chanchao
> How far is Sukhumvit Rd. from Soi 1 to Soi 23 > anyway? Can you walk or is it to far? Tip: DON'T try to walk anywhere in Bangkok. Really, take taxis or Skytrain, they're cheap. That said, I have walked it from Soi 1 to Soi 23 at night, but then the walk was as much the attraction as the destination was. But during the day... yuck.. NO! WAL! KING! JannikOJ
Sure you can walk but its HOT! Learn how the skytrain works. Its pretty straightforward and easy. or Jump in a cab and say Soi Cowboy. Only, dont say "how much?". That will only tempt them to rip you off. Look like you expect them to turn on the meter. Guest
Walking down Sukhumvit from SC to Soi 3 at night can be fun...lots of ladies around, but sometimes finding one you like can be a challenge.
Mekong
He may be a lazy bugger but was spot on with this That said, I have walked it from Soi 1 to Soi 23 at night, but then the walk was as much the attraction as the destination was. It's a short stroll, can be done in 15 minutes if you just want to get to the destination, could be a couple of hours fun stopping off on the way. I know people who took 3 years to venture past Sukhumvit junction from Soi 4, and even then only as far as Clinton Plaza
BJ_Blackowitz
I like the walk in the evening, daytime rather not as it is hot and dusty. about 15 minutes if you dont stop.
trooper
about 15 minutes if you dont stop. Is it really that long? I would have said ten but I have always been drunk when walking from Nana to Cowboy Daytime no way, too hot, taxi is so cheap.
