These bases would be still be operational so who is going to turn up and tell the the Americans what they can and can't be used for? Sure they can invade Iran from the Iraqi border, but what general is going to pass up the opportunity to attack on more than one front, eg airborne troops from the Saudi bases. elef Posted March 29, 2007 Report Share Posted March 29, 2007 You and we as the US in a way are fighting for the western culture have a problem here, for "all" muslims their lands are holy and military presence by non-muslims is blasphemy any leader supporting UK/US is in big problem, especially the saudi as he must be neutral as the sheriff of Mecca (Lawrence of Arabia made him king) for sure many leaders will in secret hope for and support UK/US but if their peoples will know there're out Forget a land war in Iran, maybe the iranians will invade Iraq for liberate holy muslim soil, protect their religious faith and so on. No a war will be in the air, airplanes and missiles, targets will be nuclear industry in Iran and ships. Of course Iran can't win without support from China or Russia.
