Khun_Kong
"what really are the fundamentals" That would depend on the individual, hence the etc. A heroin addict would have different priorities than a non addict. The fundamentals would be decided by that person. Lots of things would dictate differences: religion, race, etc. etc. What are your fundamentals? Mine are: Rest, Nutrition, relaxation [different from rest], Physical fitness, and sex. The rest is extra. Yeah, all that. Plus shitting. Gotta have shitting. Pissing also not optional. Khun004
Bangkok is more liberal and tolerant, has so much more happening and, of course, there are all those charming young ladies. ... But if you start getting really down about Thailand start thinking about how it really compares with a hell of a lot of other places in the world - often including home. I think you'll find it compares pretty favourably. Nicely said, Papayman. Thanks for that perspective. Sure, a few bad days and a few bad experiences. But every morning I wake up, look out the window, see the pollution and traffic jam down on the street, and the paint peeling off the building across the way, and, still, I think, "The worst day in Thailand is better than the best day 'back home'".
