FreeTime
I seem to recall seeing army surplus stuff at Chatuchak Market. Lots of clothing new and used sold there. Go early in the day as it gets quite hot.
Palatkik
In BKK? Also I recall stuff around the Golden Mount temple area? No Jeep's - just clothes and boots etc.
Flashermac
You can buy virtually any kind of weapon you want on the black market -- M-16s, AK-47s, LAWs, M-60 machine guns, fragmentation grenades, claymore mines, land mines, M-79 bloop guns ... Best selling item is the US Army .45 semi-auto Model 1911 -- the hitman's favourite.

Flashermac
The only person I ever knew to buy a gas mask in Bangkok ordered it from Israel. He used to wear it around Bangkok when the pollution was bad. At first, the Thais were snickering. But after a while, they started asking him where he got it! Flashermac
p.s. A few years ago, somebody found a couple of Spifires stored away in a forgotten hangar on an RTAF base!
elef
I remember some infor from my military service 1. Get the right size 2. No beard if you want it effective 3. Check the filter, if it has been used before the gasmask may be worthless or even dangerous, if it's too old completely worthless

Triumph Spitfires Will how inefficient most armies are , there could be anything stored away, We always like the $99 ex-WW2 jeeps or WW2 Harleys, Ok , I never saw any of these , but have heard stories since I was a kid.
