Fidel Posted June 30, 2007 Report Share Posted June 30, 2007 A 4x4 jeep has driven into the terminal building at Glasgow airport and caught fire, police have confirmed. Witnesses reported hearing a series of loud "bangs" and saw a man on fire. One, James Edgar, told Sky News: "People were running past like they has missed their flight. "They told us all to get out of the airport. "Everyone was in a panic and police and security were scuffling with an Asian gentleman." t is thought two men had been in the Cherokee jeep and one of their clothes caught fire. Sky's Mark White said: "This is a significant incident. "There are reports that the occupant or occupants of this vehicle have been seen fighting with police inside the terminal building." No casaulties reported. Glasgow wasnt a place you'd expect this to happen, although there is quite alot of Asians living here. Drove through the glass windows at the front. This is shit. Real kamikzae stuff. before in the UK, its been detonated bombs but this is the first suicide like attempt at an attack which is worrying. Police, however, are saying only that two cars collided outside the airport around 3:15 p.m., with one of them bursting into flames. Thats what make me think it isnt Al qaeda, as is bein touted by the authorities. Surely if had came from Al Qaeda we would be discussing the death toll...
