wonderlust
I know about View Talay but there must be better value options available. I remember visiting the area behind Second Road parallel to Walking Street once and visiting a few apartments which seemed nice and cheap. There seemed to be loads in that area. How do you go about finding a long term apartment in Pattaya? Do most people use estate agents? Any good websites?
FreeTime
The following site has a serviced apartments link: http://www.pattayaplaza.com Not familiar with any of them, but someone might be.
pe7e
There's usually a decent collection HERE and THIS AGENT has an up to date selection of condos available, if you want to be in South Pattaya then it's worth trying THESE PEOPLE finally, if you're on a tight budget, get a hotel for a few nights then go round the bars and ask about their rooms, many have appartments to rent above the bar, they're usually cheap and frequently have young ladies in attendance :smirk:
Dexi
Loads of cheapish rooms to rent ,usually best rates are for 3 months ( 6-12 k monthly ) behind market central rd. and Soi Buakao...
wonderlust
Is it fair to say you'll pay more for an apartment in Pattaya compared to Bangkok (away from the tourist areas)? Judging by the websites posted if you want somewhere of reasonable size with internet access in Pattaya you'll be paying at least 15,000. If you wanted a similar place in On Nut it would be a lot cheaper.
samak
yes it is fair! locations costs! you also do not get anything cheaper in lower Sukhumvit (Nana to Ekamai)!

sanddawg1
Try this link cheap and very close to Walking Street I have never stayed there just ran across it. http://www.yensabaipattaya.com/aboutus.html#location
wonderlust
Unfortunately there's no internet access in that yensabai place (I contacted them) so it's a non-starter. Regarding location, I bet there are some great deals in the Pattaya area but away from the tourist zone.
sanddawg1
Too bad; I read-up on View Talay they don't have internet or wifi either (they said there was an internet cafe' around the corner)
