mikeinseattle2
Hi All, Just wondering if the folks at Pantip or MBK have figured out unlocking an Apple I-phone yet. I'm due to land in a month or so and was wondering if there was any place that has already unlocked the phone. Also wondering if there is a good retail outlet selling spy type of equipment such as small cctv cameras etc.

birozen
There was a big article on this last week in the Bangkok Post the writer had been given a phone and he wanted it unlocked. It took him all over Bkk and he was told by every Apple outlet including headquaters this is not an official product in Thailand and they would not touch it. He eventually got the phone partly unlocked for 1500 baht at Phantip after being quoted 3000. Seemed he still could not use the phone for making calls though. khunsanuk
Hi, I think this line sums up the law pretty well: "One of the things about everyone in Bangkok breaking a law is that the state can then suddenly wake up and enforce the law on anyone they do not like." It is yet another law that can be selectively used to gain a desired effect. Sanuk!
