pe7e
I had a meeting with my cardiologist the other week, concerning the less than ideal outcome of the triple bypass operation I underwent last year. I was told he wasn't planning any further intervention at this stage, since the outcome could not be guaranteed to be better than my current position, and therefor didn't warrant the inherent risks involved. Today however, I received an unexpected appointment at the dept of Nuclear Medicine to attend for further investigation. Does anyone out there know what tests are likley to be done and what they're looking for? Will I glow in the dark

longwoodguy74
you're likely to get a perfusion / stress test. they'll give you a medication to get your heart working harder and a medicine to study what areas of your heart are being perfused well with blood while pumping, etc. at your age, the radiation risk is trivial. Julian2
It's just a type of X Ray. Be thankful they're not shoving something up your arse or into your spinal cord.
