Bangkoktraveler
What is odd, or at least the last time I looked, the Canandian Traveler's checks had an exchange rate les then the US dollar.
..
Not anymore: http://www.bangkokbank.co.th/Bangkok+Bank/Web+Services/Rates/FX+Rates.htm But obviously BBL (at least) still wants USD cash. They are paying 33.79 for USD and 34.31 for CAD. The official exchange rate is US$1=CA$1.03. But 33.79 x 1.03 is 34.80, so exchanging USD is a better deal by 1.5%. Sight Bills (TCs are a form of that) are better at 33.96 vs 34.70 (closer to the actual rate). Cheers, SD
