tomx2
Hi. Please read the scenario below follow by my questions. 1. I obtain a 60 Tourist Visa in the U.S. 2. I arrive in Thailand on January 1st 2008. Tourist Visa is now valid until February 29 2008 60 days. 3. I get a re-entry permit at the immigration office. 4. I leave Thailand on January 3, 2008 to travel to Cambodia 5. I return to Thailand on February 20th 2008, giving Thai immigration my re-entry info. Question: When must I leave Thailand? Is it still on February 29th, 2008? Or do I get the full 58 days in Thailand starting on February 20th , 2008. Thanks. TC

Julian2
That's right, the visa is good for 60 days from the date of your first entry on that visa.
wonderlust
If it's a single entry visa wouldn't it expire as soon as he leaves for Cambodia. Unless he didn't use the visa for his first visit but is that even possible?
Palatkik
If he does point 3 he listed then no it doesn't expire.

Pom Michael
Come in on a visa waiver the first time, then use the visa the second time.
redwood13
re-entry permit for a 60 days tourist visa???never heard that this is available! usual such visa are single entry unless you apply for multi entry! You can get a re-entry permit for any visa, but as in this case, there usually is no benefit in doing so with a tourist visa. The re-entry permit simply keeps the original "admitted until" date alive, but of course doesn't extend that date. As suggested the OP can likely obtain a 30 stamp on entry and then use the tourist visa on his return to BKK from Cambo. He could also get a double entry tourist visa. I think Houston is still good for that. -redwood
