The_Munchmaster
For anyone trying to calculate how much alcohol they are really drinking (in terms of recommended limits) this is a guide for calculating alcohol consumption, updated to reflect the trend towards larger measures and stronger alcoholic drinks, especially wine. Julian2
Is there some sort of point being made here? I'm on 76 units a week by this chart unless one assumes that a large bottle of beer is 750 mls and then it really goes pear shaped.
ALHOLK
Why does the chart use half pints? Does anyone actually drink half pints?

The_Munchmaster
Why does the chart use half pints? Does anyone actually drink half pints? Old Scottish men do. They often drink a half pint with a whisky. Commonly known as 'a half and a half'. But I don't suppose they're counting their units.

Me I call'em "Pocket Rockets" Actually a quart is more than a litre. I wish the Swedish pub owners would be made aware of this as they often call a half litre a pint. Personally I call this fraudulent practice.
Fiery Jack
Bollocks. If only the recommended safe dose was 21 units [color:red]per day[/color], and not per week, I'd have been just about okay. So close, but yet so far. jack

teddy
I would estimate my weekly intake at between 50 and 55 units. Almost 3 times the recommended allowance, however I would bet that I drink much less than many people on here.
