Mentors Posted February 26, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 26, 2008 PM Samak calls emergency PPP meeting The leader of the People Power party (PPP) and Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej has called an emergency meeting with the PPPâ??s chief executives to discuss the Election Commission (EC)'s decision to red-card House Speaker Yongyuth Tiyapairat. Mr Samak told reporters he plans to hold emergency talks this afternoon as, according to the prime minister, no plans have been made in the case that Mr Yongyuth was found guilty by the EC. Minister to the Prime Ministerâ??s Office, Choosak Sirinil, also the PPPâ??s legal consultant, said there is still hope for Mr Yongyuth as the ECs 3-2 vote in favour of red-carding him was not a unanimous decision. â??There is still a chance for Mr Yongyuth to defend himself.
