Coloseum
1. I've purchased a "Bangkok by Night" map from amazon and in it there's a reference to a bar area in Soi Ekamai 21. Here's what they write "A bunch of cute little bars along this small soi run by artistic entrepreneurs and their pals". Its located between Soi 55(Thonglo) and Soi 63 (Ekamai Rd.). They mention one bar by name, "Bangkok Bar". Is it outdated ? I've tried the "search" but didn't come up with anything. Can anyone help ? 2. "Lamai Night Plaza", is that in BKK ? if so, can someone advise ?
khunsanuk
Hi, "Is it outdated ?" I used to live on Soi 23, and back then (~3 years ago) there were some small bars, but nothing special. Have no idea if they are still in operatin though. "2. "Lamai Night Plaza", is that in BKK ? if so, can someone advise ?" My guess would be that this is on Samui. Sanuk! Guest
Soi Ekkamai 21 is okay. Unfortunately, last year, a famous politician's son beat up a student here and pulled a gun on him. (I have no more comment on that situation) Anyway, these bars are clustered, and cannot be missed, if you are looking for them. I think they are okay, but nothing great. FYI, I've never heard of Lamai Night Plaza.
Palatkik
The Ekamai Soi 21 bars are located close to the Ekamai end of that soi that connects to Tonglor. One side of the soi has single shop house size student type bars which and the other side has a parking square surrounded by higher class looking pubs but nothing flash. Clientele look like young teenage kids who know no better and more recently the odd farang crowd perhaps from the cheap apartments catering to teacher types in Soi 23 (Soi Wat Pasee). I?ve driven past these places almost every night for the last several years and never been tempted to go in. Cheers,

It is on Samui/Lamai and is called "Lamai Food Market". The best fish our creator gave to this world, delicately cooked/grilled/steammed for a ridiculous low pprice. I love it
Lord Toad
Wrong! Lamai Night Plaza is one side of the main street and Lamai Food Plaza is opposite. But I expect they will both be easy to find. Lamai is small and not complicated!
