Guest
Hi all, Is skimmed (or soya) milk available in BKK? What about freshly-baked breads, especially granary and wholemeal varieties? Cheers!
Old Hippie
Almost every supermarket has your basic western items like skimmed milk, and soy milk. I found many fresh baked items at Foodland on soi 5. Also, in the vicinity of Clinton plaza, just passed the "entrance" is a set of stairs, go up and look to your right, there was/is a bakery there, I believe it is a French bakery. They should have fresh baked bread, at least they used to. As for multi grain, or some sort of "healthy bread" probably not the knd I think you are talking about. Louis has a point, if you are concerned about it, you can bring powdered skimmed milk with you, and mix it with bottled water.

New Petchburi Pete
I drink soy milk exclusively. It is available in all the convenience stores, and at Foodland and Villa. Now, if only I could find soy based Yoghurt. Man, it's tough when you can't read the labels!
Guest
Cheers for the info guys! luis, I wouldn't say that I *worry* about what I eat, but I like to make sure my body gets what it needs. Supplements are a good idea, but I doubt I'll be training heavy so tuna/soya milk will do! Pete, nutritional info in Thai? Bummer!
