khun_khon_neua
THAI ends long-haul flights When the ultra long-haul flights to New York were taking shape on THAI's drawing board in 2003, jet fuel was 82 US cent per gallon, but since then they have zoomed to $1.62 in 2005 when the flights began. Fuel surged to $2.20 in 2007 before skyrocketing to more than $4.00 _ killing the economics of the service, Mr Pandit said. TH
jon46
There are still long hauls non-stop from New York to Hong Kong as well as New York to Singapore by other airlines. I believe Singapore's NY-Singapore is the longest non-stop flight.
The_Munchmaster
They might as well cancel their not so long haul flights as well. I just tried to book Dubai - Bkk return biz class for Aug. I paid AED 4400 ($1200) in Feb and now they want AED 9860 ($2700)!!! I checked Etihad as well and their fare is AED 5260 ($1400), which I paid AED 4730 ($1300) for last September and Etihad biz is waay better than Thai on this flight. Guess I'll be flying Etihad. bibblies
You're paying $1400 to come over here and not get laid?
The_Munchmaster
Hey, travelling in comfort to somewhere where you're not going to get laid is better than travelling in discomfort to somewhere where you're not going to get laid. Does that make sense?
