theaceofspades
Hi everybody, have checked the FAQ's & also the list of "Guest Friendly Hotels" but there are no reccommendations for Chiang Mai. Can anyone reccommend a decent hotel in the 1500 - 2500 baht price range, preferably close to nightlife spots. Thanks heaps

USVirgin
Hate to 'pile on', but that really is funny! As are quite a few hotel names is CM.
theaceofspades
Raming Lodge! Appropriately named! I have stayed previously at the Top North Hotel which was very guest friendly but the rooms were mediocre at best. There are heaps of quality cheapish hotels listed on thaihoteldiscounts.com wotif.com etc however it never states if they are guest friendly or not. The Banyan something hotel looks awesome at around 2K but again no mention of it being "guest friendly" or not.

Try the Montri Hotel up soi a bit. Both are guest friendly. Montri 2-6 Ratchadamnoen Road Muang Chiang Mai 50200 66-053211-069 Fax: 66-053217-416 montri_hotel@hotmail.com The Montri is right across the square/plaza which on Sundays (I think) is a large street market. ..
Talk/email to Tim at thaihoteldiscounts. He'll tell you if a place is guest friendly or not. His company gives most excellent service! Cheers, SD
