dddave
Any suggestions for decent, guest friendly low to mid priced accommodations in Hua Hin?
Julian2
I stayed at the Thipurai Guest House a few years back. I wasn't expensive, the price has probably gone up now though. No problem guests, and close to beach. Phetkaseam Road. Here we go, just found a website for it. Link

unit731
huahinafterdark has a good map. Puangpen (a.k.a. PP) Villa Hotel The spacious rooms here have cable TV, air con and a fridge with minibar â?? and a large swimming pool is on the premises. Rooms start at 850 Baht. 11 Damnoen Kasem Road, tel 032 511 216. www.huahinafterdark.com Fresh Inn Hotel telephone number is +66(0)32511389. Some links above are dated and prices have risen. Fresh Inn Hotel offers good location, good restaurant, and great location for moderate price. Fresh Inn Hotel is just up soi from PP Villa Hotel and is across street from Hilton Hotel - which is very good. Fresh Inn Hotel has been upgraded and prices have gone up. PP Villa or Puangpen Villa Hotel offers good rooms for a fair price and is located next to Sofitel Hotel - that great hotel is right on beach. Hua Hin does have a small nightlife area. But mostly Hua Hin is a family destination as the beaches are beautiful. Fresh Inn Hotel and Puangpen Villa hotel are a short walk to the many pier restaurants. Beaches are a short walk. I wish more mongers would leave Soi 8 Pattaya or Nana Area and actually see different parts of Thailand and experience some real Thai culture! samak
I wish more mongers would leave Soi 8 Pattaya or Nana Area and actually see different parts of Thailand and experience some real Thai culture! nice said but Hua Hin would not be the prefered destination for that as it is also mainly crowded with tourists! just more the family- and couple type tourists rather than the whoremongers! sidsanuk
very comprehensive overview about accommodations in Hua Hin:http://www.allabouthuahin.com/ENG/hotel/Hotel_byname.asp Very handy map. Only been to Hua Hin once and that was a few years ago, so don't really know/remember the place. Just looking at that map, what would be a good area to target for: Right on the beach Low-mid price range, say 1000-1500 Not too noisy (not close to clubs karaoke etc) Good to take the extended family (12-14 pax) Easy walking to nice local restaurants (open air, on the beach style) Any specific hotel recommendadtions much appreciated.
