Crash999
Anyone know where in Bangkok I can find: 1) A tall halogen lamp- I used to have several of these in the US and, aside from the disadvantage of them getting very hot, they are amazingly useful for lighting open spaces. I haven't seen a single one here in Bangkok yet, for some reason. 2) A magazine rack- Another seemingly simple item that I have yet to find. 3) A print shop- Anyone know of a place to buy cheap print reproductions that I can get mounted on a frame? Cheers!
khunsanuk
Hi, Not sure if this is what you mean, but as for the printshop, there is a place in Fortune (2nd or 3rd floor) that prints posters. Sanuk!
Crash999
By prints I mean a place that sells reproductions of famous (and not-so-famous) art pieces in poster format that can be framed. Is the place you're referring to like this? Where's Fortune? I've never been there... Cheers!
khunsanuk
Hi, Nope, I am afraid it is not what you are looking for. Fortune is the big mall/hotel on the corner of Rama IX and Ratchadapisek. Pretty decent place, fairly large IT section as well. Sanuk!
Flashermac
Central and some of the other dept stores often have a section selling prints of all types. You might check with them. p.s. Halogen lights ... an automotive shop maybe???
frogpatrol
I bought a hallogen lamp at Macro in Laksii a few years back. Lights up the whole room quite nicely. My guess is that they still stock them. Macro stores are all over the city. froggo
Crash999
Froggo, Thanks... I hadn't thought to check out Makro. I had only gone to the furniture levels at MBK and World Trade. Cheers!
