dddave
Asking for a friend: He is renewing his Thai driving license for the 2nd time (1st time = 1 year 2nd = 5 year) and needs to know what documents he needs to bring with him. What type of medical certificate? Proof of residency? Anything else he should know?

New Petchburi Pete
Hello Dave, For the medical certificate, practically any medical clinic will provide one for 100 Baht. I just got one and the only thing the nurse had me do was go through the book to check for color blindness. That's here in Pattaya. Same same for Bangkok. But I once had a female doctor give me a quick physical - as she was very cute, I wish she had been more thorough! Hey, why not give me/us a call the next time you're in town? It's been too long! New Petchburi Pete
Dave, I forgot to add that for proof of residency they ask for a 'Certificate of Residence' from Thai Immigration - a quick 200 Baht + 2 photos, copies of Passport with Visa page and entry/departure card. Plus, for me as I have no bills in my name, I copied wife's Tabian Bahn and our marriage certificate.
