I always felt "Cheated" that I didn't get a Bob Hope show when I was in the Army...The road movies are classics! Hope basically entertained the REMFs. One of my AIT buddies in the 1st Cav got to see him in 1969. He said each company was allowed to send only 3 guys. They rode a convoy God knows how many miles away to the big base camp. That's where Hope put on his show. We only saw one single show at our fire base. It was an all girl Korean group.
