Useless Posts

I love eating this fish (except salmon and swordfish I don't eat fish).

There are very little "chances" you die eating this fish if you don't try to prepare it by yourself and if you go to a restaurant with a licensed chef (trained to prepare it).

Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for this meal?

More important, what is the yellowish drink next to the dish? Tea?

Why did you eat this fish? For its taste or for the excitement?

Top plate was ¥800, bottom was ¥1,400, at the Zuboraya near the Tsūtenkaku in Osaka.

Tea? Feh, sushi is beer food, and indeed, that is ç??ã??ã?¼ã?« (nama biru).

I was in a neighborhood where there were many fugu restaurants, and I was hungry. So why not? I've had it before and know it is 99.99999999% safe. Tasty too!

Cheers,

SD -- we are getting dangerously close to usefulness here!

No no, this is not useful as you could have suffered a useless death

Beer, I stick to Asahi and only to this one.

Did prices go down in Japan since they are in crisis?

ï¿¥1,400 is not too expensive for a Fugu sashimi

(but I never went to Osaka so....)

A very small serve, as you can see. But Osaka is much cheaper than Tokyo. Go to the website I mentioned for set menus and prices.

As far as J-beers go, I fail to see much of a difference between them. They are all decently drinkable, but nothing to get excited about. So I just go with whatever is on tap (in this case Sapporo).

Cheers,

SD

As OH is the self-appointed gay judge....I feel it necessary to step in and say that SD, you may be getting too useful here. I think you have gone over the line from useless to useful with pics. Might have to have a face to face with you to work it out. BWNN ok for a meeting place? :)
