On a more serious note, does our nosediving dollar worry yourself and your colleagues in the tourism industry ? I know Oz has bigger problems than the disappearance of cheap airfares, but its scary how quickly shit happens : 40 people from one software development shop near my work, and another 8 from a former employer, all in the space of a fortnight. Many of these businesses are highly leveraged on the promise of 'bigger things', and quickly find themselves backed into a corner when cashflow dries up. The timing couldn't be more unfortunate, however. People here aren't opening their pocketbooks to go see a movie, let alone see one and then go book an outback tour.
