Central Scrutinizer
77 degrees farenheit this morning in Surin at 9:30 a.m. Last night no need for even a fan for sleeping. Wonderful weather for sleeping and outdoor activities. If you are acclimated to the heat this does feel a mite chilly. :smirk: Cent (knitting woolen booties for the poor Chang of the city now everywhere waiting to join in the Elephant festivals next week or so)

I'm not sure if it's warmer in my room with my aircon on 25C, than outside...last night was chilly. Time to break out the hat, scarf, gloves and ski jacket. Flashermac
Any ideas why frozen dews happen? I've never seen such a thing. Frost maybe, but not frozen dews.
drogon
Pretty simple: (without long explanations) Dew appears when air temperature reaches dew point -> frozen dew appears when the air temperature goes below freezing level. Although dew freezes when air reaches freezing level (which of course is not always 0 celsius) I have difficulties to believe that frozen dew formed at 6 celsius in Thailand???? Maybe they mistook dew with frozen dew.... Another TIT NB: Frost occurs when water vapor turns directly into ice. Frozen dew -> is dew freezing after the air temperature goes below the freezing point. Frozen dew is a quite unusual weather phenomena when frost is far more common....
