My experience in Pattaya was that borrowers had to pay the mob 2% per day. I saw a collector visit a bar to collect the interest due on a 60K loan. It was 1,200 per day. Could also be the reason some girls ask you to help out with modest ammounts of cash to girlfriends. Have seen girls (injecting drug users) being slapped about, moved to intervene & was nodded not to by someone i trust/respect. Half an hour later she came up with B30000.
