rookie
Hmmm...I still have some of the shirts and pants that I bought at BoBe 9-years ago! They still fit and are have given good wear over the years. Polo shirts were then 80-90-Bt, long and short sleeve dress shirts, with decent material, a mere 80-120-Bt! Though, I do wear tailored shirts & pants for those upscale occasions. As said, avoid MBK...and it's tourist prices on clothing.
Lusty
Just my opinion but for the markets China town and Pratunam are the best. I've found Chatuchak ain't as cheap as it was unless you get a Thai do do your haggling. Avoid buying ANYTHING at Patpong as its all over priced and you'll be mugged for nearly treble the cost but certainly visit this area to get the feel of "Shocking Asia"! Banglampu(Khou San Road)is also pretty good.
..
From one who knows, pay heed to the pickpocket warnings at Chatuchak. And if you get tired of your GF shopping, go to the little bar in section 26 of JJ market to relax with a cold brew and chat up the cute bartendee there with the dreadlocks... And the "Export Shop" outlets have real XXL clothing if you are a big guy... Cheers, SD
