Flashermac
Naraiphan is gone? That was the government store - not the cheapest but always good quality. Wonder where it went. The website is still up: www.naraiphand.com

gene1944
I think I saw a sign for it in the driveway between the Intercontinental Hotel and Gaysorn Plaza. Have not had a chance to check it out though.
allistar
The pop up on their website says it is moving to President's Tower ground floor and gives directions.
Flashermac
Aha! I've got pop ups blocked. << The land and building where Naraiphand is now is owned by the Mall Group, the people behind Emporium and Siam Paragon. It was too small 30 years ago when they leased it to the Ministry of Industry (the people who run Naraiphand) but now, in that part of town, nothing is "too small" to be developed. The building will be torn down and replaced by something. No idea what yet. I suspect that, like Suan Lum, they'll try and get the basement vendors to relocate to the new Sunday Market going up next to Chatuchak. >> http://www.fodors.com/community/asia/naraiphand-moving.cfm
Bangkoktraveler
I used to go to the food court there all the time. One of the vendors could make what I considered a really great green tea. Almost every time I would pass the place and it was open, I would go in and buy 1 or 2 teas.
Flashermac
I remember Naraiphand being somewhere else in the 1980s. It's supposed to have been around for 60 or more years.
