danno6
Ok, stupid question. I am trying to call a mobile number in Thailand it is 087-***-****. I dialed 6697-***-****, and didn't get through. Any ideas what to do different?
ThaiHome
+66 87xxxxx Think the international access code (+) in Malaysia is 00. TH
CTO
Because you dialed the wrong number? Country code is 66 - that part correct - you dropped the zero from the Thai mobile - good so far - but why did you dial 97 instead of 87? If your using a mobile in Malaysia dial +66 (Thailand) followed by the correct mobile number deleting the "0" and note changing the 8 to a 9. ThaiHome
I assumed the 97 instead of 87 was a typo. I think he failed to use the international access code in front of the number. TH
CTO
me too - but it was kinda good reason why it didn't work - he never came back - maybe not a typo
Palatkik
+66 87xxxxxThink the international access code (+) in Malaysia is 00. TH Yes, I often got caught in Malaysia not knowing about the 00 international code prefix. Used to it being 001. I think the + still works from mobiles though? ThaiHome
The funny part is the 00 is more common then the 001 used in Thailand. Like you say, I just have the + on all my phone numbers. TH
