dddave
Met a few people from this board at TLR my first trip, gone by the time I came back 9 months later. I watched the renegade horde of Police and Army thugs thoroughly demolish the Soi Ten bar area(Where Chewit's park is now) the following January at 4am from the roof of the Miami. Old Hippie
Ah the memories...here are a few montages I found in my files... chuckwoww
I always thought Bill's was a nice place to have a beer in the daytime. The chili con carne wasn't bad either.
Old Hippie
There was for a very brief time, as I recall, some very good food served from a nearby set out/open air market...in front of Ambassador maybe? Roasted chicken and what not, cheap...
chuckwoww
The places outside the Ambassador didn't last long. Anyone remember the little Egyptian guy, Ali, with his shawarmas? He achieved his ambition of getting a corner in Bill's just before it closed.
Old Hippie
I remember the food! I can just remember sending my favorite bar girl Moo out for a plate of something...clams, or fried rice...god I loved CEP, it was 1 stop for everything, great in the rain, as it had indoor bars, short time rooms, food etc...no need to go elsewhere...there is just no respect for culture anymore...
