cavanami
All for me and my mates! Usually cheeses, sausages, etc...items that are not readily available in LOS or are too costly in LOS. Last month I brought my oscilloscope back with me, so my baggage does vary a bit. Sorry, no wool...not required for LOS, at least for me.
Alfmaz
Have they set-up a stand like the old airport that you line at and that was their 10+ years till they moved the Airport and you have to haggle with idiots who take you for a ride

Tyfon
Scenario 3 - only bring a carry on and do away with checking bags all together. That's what the airlines would like to enforce on us. I used to travel like that to the US in the days before draconian limits on cabin luggage weights. Ideally I'd have been happy to send most of the stuff I don't use in the UK (tropical clothing, scuba gear etc.) by surface in advance and pick up on arrival by air at BKK, if there was an easy way to guarantee it would be treated as if accompanied baggage and not imports - I've been too lazy to figure it out though.
