So what is your point? There is a conspiracy not to mention this suicide by the newspapers? Get over it. They find suicides not newsworthy, and thats it. The guy might be well among some of you, but he was definitely no celebrity.

The Pattaya papers don't find suicides newsworthy? You obviously never even glance at the Pattaya news.

Yep, Paillote missed the point completely. While the media in most countries never report suicides the Pattaya newsletter seem to report almost *every* death of a Farang - except the death of the of TJ.

And the death of a tourist by natural causes isn't even newsworthy in Japan, but in Patty...

It's hard to imagine anyone even disputing this, and yet...

OK, so why aren't they reporting this? I never met the guy and have no conspiracy or other theories of any kind, but it's always curious when the Thai media is oddly silent on something that is obviously news.

Remember the extortion scam at Thailand's airport where senior government officials were obviously and disputably involved in serious criminal activity shaking down tourists? It was reported in the Western media first, and took about a month before it got any coverage in Thailand. You gotta wonder.

You guys have no clue. If you think that most deaths in Pattaya are reported in the news you have your head stuck so deep in the sand your feet are barely visible. What makes it to the pages can at times be rather odd, I agree, but most deaths don't make it to the pages. End of story.

According to you lot, suicides are mostly reported (which they are not). But this time they should be scared to report it? Can you conspiracists come up with a plausible reason for why they should cover it up ? What could happen if they reported it when nothing happens when they report all the other suicides? Who would react in harmful ways if the story "52 year old foreigner found dead in hotel room" was reported? The guy was neither rich, famous or well connected.

Now, if you guys would discuss one of the abundant real real cover-ups, like [Name removed at request] fate, it would be much more interesting.

I agree it's no big deal. Just another dead farang in Pattaya. No reason why it should be front page news. But TJ was quite well known in the bar scene there and Coyote's had been having a lot of problems. Hence all the rumours and speculation.

What's the story on [Name removed at request]?
