GAY BARTENDER PISTOL-WHIPPED BY DRUNK CUSTOMER

Pattaya, 9 October, 2009, [PDN]: A drunken customer, disapproving of the way his whisky was mixed by a gay bar bartender, grabbed a gun and pistol-whipped the victim’s face. Police arrested him while he was preparing to escape.

At 1:00 am, on 9 October, Pol.Lt.Col. Tailert Leupeu, Dongtan Police Investigator, received a report from the bartender of the Ball Hai Beach beer, Mr. Treetep Wiengwisai, [27], from Nakornsawan. Mr. Treetep complained of being assaulted by a dissatisfied customer who had pistol-whipped him, cutting his face, which had been bleeding extensively while he ran to the police station for help.

Mr. Treetep related that he had just been hit by the gun of a customer and the man was about to leave the bar, located only 300 metres away from the police station, and escape in his Mercedes, parked in front of the bar. Through the swift response by the police, the team managed to nab the alleged assailant before he was able to escape.

The man, who was later identified as Mr.Siripong Sirikumsing, [32], was in drunken state. He failed to prevent the police from searching his vehicle, where they found a 9.mm. gun in its holster and 5 bullets. Police kept them as evidence and detained Mr. Sriripong.

The police questioned Mr. Treetep, the victim, who explained that Mr. Siripong had parked his car and walked into the bar, immediately ordering a drink, which he had mixed for him. Mr. Siripong, however ,after tasting the drink, complained that it had been mixed wrongly and he was not enjoying it. Mr. Siripong apparently then demanded an explanation as to why the barmen had not mixed the drink correctly. Mr. Treetep said he had apologized and walked away.

Unexpectedly, Mr. Siripong had then angrily walked out of the bar to his car and had come back with a gun which he pointed at Mr. Treetep’s head, threatening to kill him because he had made a lousy drink ,after which he pistol-whipped him. The whole situation had happened in front of many witnesses in the bar. After that, the Mercedes man paid for his drink and walked out to his car, while the victim ran to the police station.

Mr. Siripong did not give his side of the story, due to his drunkenness, only saying he would leave it to his lawyer to deal with the case. He said the gun belonged to his friend who had left it with him so he could practise his shooting in a shooting range.

He was, however, charged with illegally processing a gun and bullets and carrying them in public. As regards the attack, the charge will be discussed with the victim accordingly.

Were the bullet's in the pistol's magazine or did they find them somewhere else? :hmmm:

Figures.

Has Pattaya become Angeles City???

That's as good a reason as nay to pistol whip somone. I once pistol whipped a young girl at Mcdonalds because she didn't take the pickle out of my cheeseburger. She's lucky that's all she got too.

Hmm penalty for a (rich) Thai pistol whipping another Thai v penalty for a foreigner pistol whipping a Thai....hmmm would make for an interesting contrast

What happened was simple....the bartender mixed the drink using generic booze instead of the name brand the customer ordered...an experienced drinker will notice the difference

Uh-uh. Remember this was a Thai customer. The guy probably ordered Jack black mixed with Fanta daeng. :content:

Why mention he was gay? Is it because its relevant or just because they assumed he was given his demeanor and manner and reputation and added it to the story?

There is more to this story than what is written is my guest. I think its more than mixing a drink wrong.
