dddave
There is a very pro-active organization for "working girls" called EMPOWER, last I knew, the offices and classrooms were somewhere in Silom. It was founded by a wealthy and amazingly progressive Thai women. They run a free education program with English and computer classes. They also provide sex education and information in a totally non-judgemental environment. They don't lecture the girls about the "evils" of their work. They have a branch in Chiang Mai. They opened one in Pattaya a few years ago but I don't know if it is still open. Google "Empower Bangkok" for more info.
