Lady Floor

I was just booking some accomodation online and one of the options given when you make a request for a non-smoking floor was another option called "Lady Floor"

 

First though was it's a guest friendly floor to avoid the clash of morals.

 

Anyone else ever heard of this option or was it merely referring to a woman only floor to cater for certain ethnic cultures.

Not so much differant ethnics and cultures just due to the fact that many more females are travelling on business trips nowadays than were even a few years ago.

 

These hotel options are aimed at the lone female business traveler.

Not so much cultural, but just to give travelling solo business women a better sense of security.

 

Usually can only access the lady-floor by using your electronic room key in the lift. (Elevator!)

 

Quite common in many parts of the world now.

 

Maybe Nana Hotel should think of getting one.

 

Even some trains in Japan now are lady-only carriages so as women don't have to run the risk of getting groped by Japanese salarymen.
