gobbledonk
Had to laugh when Ms CP's papa arrived in Hua Hin minus his lovely wife - she had decided that Phuket was more to her liking ! We probably underestimate the value of local tourism in some parts of Thailand - the place I stayed in on my trip to Chumphon certainly wouldnt survive if it had to rely on Farang tourists. Steve
Sorry to be a glass half empty kind of guy but I think Pattaya being so busy at the moment is just the usual peak season blip and it will still be hard times ahead for many bars etc come the long long low season.Simie. Agreed. Last summmer, it was definitely slow when I went. I was wondering how the heck all these bars stay in business. I expect it to be slow again when I am there in the summer. Pattaya may end up like the flower, candy and toy industry and make all their money in a short season (Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc.)
BJ_Blackowitz
Was in HH twice over XMAS/ NY, Lots of ppl, difficult to get a seat. will travel 3 weeks after NYE this year ( 8 days to go) that is the better time to travel anyway, cheaper and less crowded.
