expat
One of the great things about living in Pattaya is when I take a long walk for exercise, I can include sois 6, 7 and 8 for entertainment value. Well today I'm walking briskly along Soi 6 dodging crotch grabs and katoeys, and I saw a band playing about halfway down. Now, this isn't unusual--bars often hire a band and set up a stage for a day, but as I passed, I realized the word they were singing over and over was "Jesus!" Jesus freaks on Soi 6! Oh, joy. My face lit up like a lamp, a huge smile beaming forth. This of course made the rest of my stroll down Soi 6 even more pleasant--if the girls see you with a big smile they step up the banter, cat calls and chit chat. I smiled all the way until I got home just a couple minutes ago. So, if you rush out, I'm sure you can catch the fun! Jesus meets Soi 6. Sounds like a South Park episode. gobbledonk
This isnt unusual - I've heard 'Oh, Jesus !' and similar outside ST bars on many, many occasions. The real entertainment is on Soi 6/1, at the back of the bars - katoeys will literally chase you down the street in their quest for the contents of your wallet.
