Steve
Some members of Congress can be stupid but this guy is amongst the worse I've seen. The Senate is better...not by much...but better because they are voted statewide and fools are not suffered as much. Representatives though can be the lowest common denominator. There have been some completely stupid congressmen from both parties. The scary thing is these guys decide what is best for the rest of us. Basically, amongst some stupid comments, he says Guam could tip over. WTF?!! http://www.ajc.com/news/rep-johnson-gaffe-guam-426715.html See the clip for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNZczIgVXjg&feature=player_embedded
Flashermac
Slightly off topic ... ever heard how Thais pronounce Guam? It's GOO-um. That's even what the TV announcers say.
USVirgin
Just to make the vid more accessible. WTF? If the congressman was sober, how can this be explained? zNZczIgVXjg

Steve
Hey, he reflects his constituents! A bit unfair to extend his stupidity to his constituents. Should we have labled the state of Indiana as intelligent as Dan Quayle? Also, many europeans have applied the same thought to all Americans after 8 years of Dubya. Looking at his bio in wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hank_Johnson he's not stupid. A practicing lawyer for a long time, had prior political experience locally. On a side note, it says he's a practicing Buddhist. I've seen many distinguished senators ask the most inane and asanine questions to people before them. However, I must say watching him made me cringe.
