Mekong
Finally after many years on "HOLD" the Highway extension from Highway 36 (Regents School) to Pattaya is now open. It joins Sukhumvit midway between Pattaya Nua and Pattaya klaeng but the right turn to Nua is still not finished, need to take a left towards Klaeng and hang a youey if heading to Nua (as I do) Decent drive down yesterday, Pathum Thani to North Pattaya in 1:35, 160KM without breaking the speed limit too much, 125-130 if one believes the speedometer in 120 limits. From Survanibhumi junction of Highway 7 (BKK-Chonburi Motorway) to North Pattaya took 65 minutes, one hell of an improvement. I can now do what was possible 15 years ago which is to flush a turd down the bog in BKK then drive down to Pattaya and stand on Bal Hai pier to watch it float out to sea. WorldFun
umm nice, so whaat you're saying is bkk didn't have bogs 15 years ago or Bal Hai pier was not there? ah nostalgic moments... p.s. if just going for a swim & seafood bang saen is closer, better & few 'turds', but loads of 'crab' though (not to mention mud)

Stickman
Yeah, it's real good, isn't it - and I reckon it shaves about 10 minutes off the journey time.
