shygye
Nice to see the TSA is on top of baggage inspections. Link A U.S. Airways flight bound for New York City was forced to return to the gate in Atlanta on Monday after maggots fell from a bag inside an overhead luggage bin. The airline says spoiled meat in a suitcase is to blame for the mess.
USVirgin
There is a quick fix for this sort of thing that has nothing to do with the TSA: increase fares!
shygye
Fares have already increased! Now there is a Summer travel surcharge! :onfire:
allistar
This is straight from "Yahoo answers" website.----- "Maggots are high in protein, if you had to survive you'd eat them. It wouldn't be a good idea to eat them straight off some rotten meat though since the meat is what would make you ill. If they were kept in bran and given a day or two to excrete any bad stuff then they wouldn't do you any harm. Mealworms, crickets, tarantula, ants and termites are all edible too!" unit731
Again, some are missing the point here. Why was there rotten meat in the suitcase in the first place? The "Rotten Meat" person should have been arrested and charged with something.
Bangkoktraveler
Maybe the rotten meat person was a terrorist who thought he/she could kill some people by sharing the food.
shygye
... and the rotten meat/maggots was totally missed by the TSA!
Flashermac
Could have been someone from Isaan who was raising the maggots to fry and eat.
Bangkoktraveler
... and the rotten meat/maggots was totally missed by the TSA! The TSA devils stole the meat and replaced it with shit.
