Old Hippie Posted August 20, 2010 Report Share Posted August 20, 2010 I met Floyd Patterson years ago, at Blue Horizon in Philadelphia, he was cool. I also met Joe Frazier and Larry Holmes. Ali re-energized boxing, whether we like it or not. He was the guy people wanted to see get his head smashed, and later he was the guy people cheered, as he matured and grew. He was colorful and a showman, and I think boxing today suffers for lack of guys like him. That and "MMA" is taking over... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
