soongmak
The next addition to my network will probably be a game console. My son will be four years old come January and I am thinking of buying a game console for him. I don't have a clue as to what system is best suited (I mean enjoyable) for a 4 year old! khunsanuk
Hi, While I prefer the PS3 myself, I would say for that age, a Wii is probably a much better choice. The games for it tend to be much more kids/family oriented (which often means 'crap' though ). Sanuk!
TroyinEwa/Perv
I agree. My kids have it all. First game console was a Wii which the still have and like and still play. They are 12 and 10. But they both have an X-box, both have a PS2, both have PSP's and Nintendo Dsi's but they always still come back to the Wii. It's a good choice. dave32
Hi, While I prefer the PS3 myself Last week was playing Yakuza 3 and I got that floating message notifying me **** is online. Haven't played that much of late and there's only a handful of people I have added as contacts, whom I know well from here (LA). I couldn't figure out who this person was. And it perplexed me. Am I losing my mind? Who the *&$# is ****??? Then it hit me... it's the dude from Thai360. haha. Ps. Four year old only: wii. But -- console everyone could use: ps3. Get both. ps3 will fit right in with your set-up and you can stream music/movies to it (from designated media centers on home network). Plenty of material out there for kids and adults if you like games. And it's got some sweet ones.
khunsanuk
Hi, "Then it hit me... it's the dude from Thai360. haha." While I agree with your comments on the PS3 regarding the music/movie stuff (it also plays Bluray's btw), I do think that unless Soongmak intends to do some gaming himself a PS3 might be overkill. They are also still quite a bit more expensive than a Wii and no copied games (well, not really anyway). Having said that, I am sure the kid would absolutely love 'Start the Party'. Sanuk!
