rookie
It's no surprise that Thailand ISP's are notorious for causing problems with BitTorrent clients and other P2P clients. Below is a comparative list of ISP's from from countries around the world...and Thailand is shown to be the most restrictive: http://wiki.vuze.com/w/Bad_ISPs
khunsanuk
Hi, Can't say this comes as a surprise You *can* get good download speeds, but usually it is from local, i.e. Thai, peers only. Sanuk!
radioman
Your comment about local vs international connections seems very valid to me and Thailand would seem to have fairly miserly links, hey maybe the TOT/CAT bosses would rather reserve more of their budget instead of spending it on more foreign bandwidth which, given that they can do their email and check their porn is surely enough for everyone, right? See here: Intl bandwidth by country and here: Bandwidth per capita Other interesting internet stats here: Thai internet stats Cheers

radioman
Argh!!! Hadn't noticed that, true, dead useless other than relatively speaking the position may be similar unless someone has made a big investment to leapfrog the others. We need more data!
