kamui Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Except that Tibetan Guddhism had its warrior monks, just as the Chin ese had Shaolin monks kicking the crap out of everybody. If that isn't a contradiction of Buddhism, I don't know what is. The Last Warrior Monk Japan had warrior monks as well. They did one uprising and were smashed into to ground. Nevertheless there haven't been many crusades against other religious groups under the Buddhist banner as far as I know - in contrary to the Christians (I don't know about Muslims and Hindus)
Flashermac Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Uh ... those times Europe had to fight off major Muslim invasions don't count?
