Bottom of the article;

Meanwhile, police have vowed to take legal action against anyone guilty of lewd conduct during Songkran celebrations.

Police spokesman Prawut Thavornsiri said some women had gone topless as they celebrated. The police will study surveillance camera footage to identify the women. If identified, they will be charged with obscene public behaviour.

There's footage of apparently 3 girls on Silom that went topless, a big outrage and widely discussed on Thai TV.

How funny is that? They are all in an uproar, yet not many years ago many/most Thai women went bare breasted. Western influences taken to extremes by the moral puritans of Thai society. Bloody hell.

"Traditionally Thai Clothing especially in regards to women are designed for modesty, some traditional Thai dress style for women consist of a long tube style skirt called a Pha sin, which is pulled up to just below the breasts.

Historically women were topless but western cultural influences dictated that a shawl or piece of cloth be used to cover the upper torso."

One of the bare chested ladies looked like a farang. Anyone notice that?

Sorry people, we just could not identify the culprits after many hours of watching the videos. 555 - Cent)
