gobbledonk
http://www.news.com.au/travel/news/ash-hits-domestic-flights-again/story-e6frfq80-1226078951722 Its quite windy on the East Coast atm, and it appears to be blowing this #%$#! cloud all over the place. Interesting that Tiger are using it as an excuse to ground all of their planes - hopefully they are getting some much needed maintenance - but I cant think of too many things more tedious than sitting around an airport like Adelaide waiting for things to change. unit731
Technically, I do not think that the science is availble to actually plug a volcano. Even if the volcano was plugged I think the pressure would build up in other areas. But I ain't no geologist (yet).
Coss
A volcano can melt/burst through the thickness of a tectonic plate. I don't think any plug man could devise, would work. Perhaps if we got another tectonic plate and put in on top?
