gobbledonk
Latin's a dead language, as dead as dead can be It killed off all the Romans, and damned near killed ME ! Its a shame Old Hippie doesnt drop by any more - I think he was a priest in an earlier life and may well know Latin, French and even enjoy a little Greek on occasion
Flashermac
Latin ain't dead. It's spoken in the Vatican. Something about tribulations and sorrows ... in the name of God. Church Latin from the Middle Ages. Been about that long since I studied Classical Latin. p.s. Now Coss is dating a nun?

kamui
I studied Latin for 8 weeks in Heidelberg - FULLTIME. In the eight weeks I learnt as much as the kids learn at school in eight years. Afterwards I passed the official Latin exam I needed for to finish University. The 8 weeks where a really strange period of time, but an interesting experience. I learnt that I can learn much more in an extremely short period of time than I thought it would ever be possible (of course it was a special school with good teachers and a perfectly build curriculum). I did Latin like 10-12 hours a day and drank cheap cocktails at night in a student bar, which forced me to have a least one Aspirin the next morning.
